Am I a “Young Professional?”
Yes! Anyone is welcome. Most of our members are between 22-40 years old.
When are meetings?
Lunches are the first Wednesday of every month @ 12:00 PM.
Coffee Mingles or Happy Hour style events are the third week of every month. Time, day and location varies. See our events page for up to date details!
Pop-Ups occur at various days and times throughout the year – check our Events page for specific dates and times!
What happens at meetings?
Networking Lunches are just that – networking and lunch. No frills, just food and socializing.
Coffee Mingles or Happy Hour style events usually consist of networking and 30-45 minutes of programing of some form (panel, guest speaker, professional development).
Pop-Up Events vary, but are just fun, social events to help us connect as an organization! In the past we’ve done things like bowling, gotten dinner together, and golf outings!
Can I come try out LYP before I pay dues?
Yes – you are welcome to attend any two (2) meetings before we ask that you pay dues.
What are the benefits of being a Member?
The benefits are numerous including gaining access to all of our meetings and programming, professional development, expanded professional and social network, and most importantly, it’s fun!
How much are Dues?
$40 per year.
What are dues used for?
Dues are used for many things including website fees, speaker fees, event space rental, food and drinks, prizes, and various other administrative fees. Dues are not used to compensate Board Members in any way.
I’m a member, can I bring a friend as a guest?
Yes! We strongly encourage bringing friends, co-workers, partners, or anyone else you think might be interested in our group. Guest are welcome to attend two (2) meetings before we ask that they pay dues.
I can’t get there right at the event start time – is that OK?
No problem! We understand you have a busy schedule. Whether another meeting is running late, you’re picking your kid up from school, or it’s just one of those days, we are just happy you’re joining us – come when you can.
Can I leave early if I need to?
Not to worry! Again, we understand you’re busy. Feel free to excuse yourself when you need to.
What’s the dress code?
Whatever you feel most comfortable in. Our membership represents a wide range of professions and therefore a wide range of dress codes.
